Fortress Lake is at the head of Wood River in Hamber Provincial Park in British Columbia. In 1990 the park was added to the Canadian Rocky Mountains World Heritage Site by UNESCO which was designated in 1983. It remains a remote wilderness area with few facilities, but a fly in fishing lodge.
