Harmon invited Lewis Freeman, an American adventure travel writer, to join him and assist with making his film. They met in 1922 at Lake of the Hanging Glaciers in the Purcell Mountains. Adding a modern touch, Lewis Freeman brings a wireless radio along, hoping to broadcast and receive from the height of the continent. The five men listen to the World Series and ballroom music from the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco at their camp near Athabasca Glacier.
